Vodka pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 box penne noodles
  • 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 jar tomato basil sauce 
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 cloves garlic 
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 shredded Parmesan cheese 
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil sliced up

Directions:

Boil pasta per package directions.

Meanwhile cook pork, garlic and shallots in a frying pan. Add vodka while pan is hot. Bring to a simmer.

Add tomato paste, butter, tomato sauce, red pepper flakes, heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix and let simmer.

Move to low heat and add basil.

Combine noodles and sauce.
